Hey all you Seattleites! I'm happy to announce that catalogs for the 2006 DIY ACADEMY are out now! This year we're offering a ton of low-cost workshops including zine writing and binding, comic making, vegan dessert baking, dressmaking, and more. Each session is only 5 bucks, so really, you can't afford NOT to register. Catalogs are available at ZAPP and friendly local businesses around Seattle. Hurry up and register, because classes fill up fast!

Also, DIY MAKES YOU FLY!, the DIY ACADEMY opening party, will bust it out on June 21st at the Richard Hugo House. Doors open at 6, music at 7. Bands include the Pharmacy, The Flex, Snowman Plan, Linus Kill Lucy and Luke Afrakkah Dukkah. We'll have food and drink as well as kitemaking and crafts. You can also register for classes at the party and meet instructors!
