OK you zine creator people types - Printed version of ORGAN is now back functioning and pissing people off (or exciting them or whatever) monthly, the October issue (number 137) is out there now, 10,000 of them free on the filthy London streets and through the postal networks and such.
We got two pages of alternative print media reviews - zines, books and such in this issue (things that we feel good and positive about) in the latest issue (Profane Existence, Fear And Loathing, Socialism, Load Of Noise, SchNews and such....) . We'll be doing the same in the November edition if we encounter anything that excites enough to make us want to write about it zine wise, got one or two goodies already......
So if you have a zine or some kind of alternative print publication and you want some coverage (and you're not just about sucking up to big PR companies to get on guest lists and get latest crap emo-by-numbers album that's out on some couldn't-care-less-about-the-music-let's-see-the-profit-margin-major-label for free) then get in touch.....
If you've got a zine you think we should be shouting our opinionated big mouths off about then fire it at us by October 19th and we'll fire you some of our stuff back at you (with coverage of what you're up to) in return - you'll also see a few review up on the on-line weekly version of Organ as www.organart.com
There needs to be a bit more zine unity and creativity out there, a few more real alternatives to the corporate crap..... who's out there? Who wants to communicate?
As for webzines? Yeah, we feel a big feature about the good ones coming on? Have you got one? Should we know about it? Are there any good ones out there offering real alternatives? I don't mean your Drowned in Sound type corporate cock sucking NME-wannabe bulshit type websites, I meal real ones offering real alternative information and exciting coverage of
the real music that's out there if you look..... Shout now, tell us what you're about, what you know, what you're up to, get involved, use your organ, communicate - on the other hand if you're think we're full of shit, then fine, hit your delete button and have a nice day
